WHAT SETS US APART
While other Makeup Academies offer you the basics, Prostyle Makeup emphasizes the creative aspects of the field of makeup artistry as well. Through Prostyle Makeup classes, you will learn the foundations of makeup application necessary for Print, Film, Bridal, and Retail. All classes include a photo shoot to begin building your portfolio. All students that complete the program will receive a Certification as well.
The additional creative workshops allow you to take your talent miles further, with electives such as High Fashion/Backstage Runway, Drag, Practice Parties, Creative Makeup Arts and more that will be added throughout the year.

WORKSHOPS
Workshops are built to foster creativity, gain experience, and explore. Most workshops also include a photo shoot to continue building your portfolio.

Throughout the year, students will be offered free sessions with entrepreneurs, motivational and guest speakers that are already working in the industry.
Structure
REQUIREMENTS
All students must be 18 years of age or older, and have a high school diploma or equivalent, or certificate of attendance.
All students are required to take the basics or advanced class before branching into workshops. Students are encouraged to take both classes, to ensure an understanding of the foundations of makeup before entering workshops.

At the end of each class, each student will present their work in a photo shoot to begin building a portfolio. Students have the option of using someone from class as a model, or bringing a model to the shoot. Cost: $450

Workshops are optional. They are designed to help you further your career through exploring and experimenting with new techniques and concepts.
Each workshop is significantly different, and will add to your knowledge and skill of each subject. We aim to assist you in finding your talents and strong points, as well as your weeknesses so that you may improve on them. Many workshops help you with working and creating your presense in that particular area of Makeup Artistry.
AIRBRUSH 2-Day Workshop

Designed for those that would like to enhance their careers and venture into Airbrush makeup. This class starts from the very basic essentials, and leads into application techniques.

Prerequesite: Level 1 Class or Comparable working experience.

Creativity Practice Party: Saturday, January 7th, 2012!
This workshop will introduce you to new, innovative methods for applying exotic and creative makeup applications. Plus Food, Music, and a lot of fun!!
How it works:
-All students past and prospective are invited. No previous experience necessary for Practice Parties.
-You will be provided with all things needed to create a one-of-a-kind look, from feathers to beads, lashes, lace, and some other fun surprise items! It's going to be a blast!

What is a 'Practice Party'?
Practice parties are low-cost educational events
designed for novice makeup users to advanced
makeup artists. We all come together with the
goal of learning new techniques, practicing those techniques, socializing, and just having fun with makeup. They usually range from 1-4 hours.
What is the cost of the Practice Party?
Only $30! This includes food and supplies!
What should I bring?
Please bring brushes, any items that you would like to use (Feather lashes, lace, Blush bronzer, foundation, etc.) *Things such as feathers, lashes, etc will be provided at event as well, but you may also bring your own.

We make every effort to keep PSM classes affordable and accessible. Classes are low cost, fun, and highly educational. In order to keep costs down and ensure that classes and workshops continue to operate effeciently, we have outlined these policies and payment options:
Who can attend:
-All students must be at least 18 years of age with a valid Photo ID and a High School Diploma or Equivalent.
-There is no prior training necessary to enter the Level 1 Class.
-PSM classes are designed for those without any prior experience in the Makeup Artistry field, as well as those already working.
Code of conduct:
We ask that all students respect one another and instructors alike. This includes being on time for class, turning off cell phones, and keeping talking that is not related to the lesson to a minimum. The classroom is very interactive and asking questions is ok during demonstrations, but we just ask that you stay on-topic.
Dress Code: There is no dress code, but Please bring a jacket or sweater (even in summer months) if you get cold easily , because the temperature may be slighly low to accomodate instructors that are standing and moving for long periods of time.
Payment options:
You may pay for classes and workshops through online registration by clicking the link appropriate to the class you intend to take. You may also register over the phone, or in person at PSM Academy. There is a small registration fee that will be added during checkout. We accept Credit/Debit, Paypal (online), cash , checks or money orders. Deposits and payment plans:
You may elect to pay a minimum of $100 as a deposit during registration. You may continue to make payments on your account by loging into the registration site. You will receive a confirmation email with a link to do so. Simply log in to your account using the email address and password you registered with. You may also make a payment by phone or in person (must make an appointment to pay in person). Your account must be paid in full 14 days prior to class. (Unless otherwise noted)

Cancellations/Refunds/Transfers:
Cancelations must be made 14 days prior to the first day of class, in writing (letter or email). A refund will be given at this time. There will be a $55 cancelation fee applied to all refunds related to classes. Workshops, Practice Parties, and Events carry a 25% cancellation fee only.(Master class policies differ. (Unless otherwise noted)
No refunds will be given if the class is set to start within 13 days.
There are special circumstances that may allow a student to transfer payments on to a future class. Please email processing_prostyleclass.com for information and put "Transfer" in the subject line. Fees can only be transferred once. There is a $35 transfer fee. All transfer requests must be received 14 days prior to class. After this, no transfers will be accepted. All students are allowed a maximum of one transfer. (Unless otherwise noted)
