Workshops are designed to help you further your career through exploring and experimenting with new techniques and concepts.
Each workshop is significantly different, and will add to your knowledge and skill of each subject. We aim to assist you in finding your talents and strong points, as well as your weeknesses so that you may improve on them. Many workshops help you with working and creating your presense in that particular area of Makeup Artistry. Read below to find out what each workshop has to offer! ***When workshops are available for registration, there will be a link to register. AIRBRUSH 2-Day Workshop
Date: March 2nd & 3rd (2-day workshop)
Time: 6-9 PM
Instructor: Ebony Crawley
Designed for those that would like to enhance their careers and venture into Airbrush makeup. This class starts from the very basic essentials, and leads into application techniques.
Curriculum:
-Discovering Differences in Airbrush & Regular Makeup
-Airbrush makeup formulation differences
-Additives
-Differences in Compressors
-Differences in Airbrush selection (Single vs dual action)
-Cleaning your airbrush
-Troubleshooting your airbrush
This class is limited to 8 students and will be offered 4 times per year.
Prerequesite: Level 1 Class or Comparable working experience.
Cost: $200 Plus cost of Airbrush kit
Airbrush kit information:
It is necessary to have an airbrush gun as well as supplies. You may choose to bring your own kit, or purchase the Temptu S1 Kit (Click for details) at a discount price of $391. If you choose to bring your own kit, please bring comparable supplies.

Creativity Workshop
This workshop will introduce you to new, innovative methods for applying exotic and creative makeup applications. Plus Food, Music, and a lot of fun!!
How it works:
-All students past, and prospective are invited to come. Since this is a Practice Party, there is no previous experience necessary.
-You will be provided with all things needed to create a one-of-a-kind look, from feathers to beads, lashes, lace, and some other fun surprise items! It's going to be a blast!
**Be a make-up Macguyver! LOL
What to do in a pinch (How to concoct lipglosses, eyeliner, and any other necessary makeup item from things that you have already in your kit!)
I can't tell you how many times I've had to make a lip gloss or blush color from something that was meant for something else....comes in handy when you don't have a full kit.
This Practice Party is designed to pull out your inner creativity, and allow you to try new things. It is also to intoduce those that would like to know more about Prostyle Makeup Academy to socialize with previous students and instructors!

What is a 'Practice Party'?
Practice parties are low-cost educational events designed for novice makeup users to advanced makeup artists. We all come together with the goal of learning new techniques, practicing those techniques, socializing, and just having fun with makeup. They usually range from 1-4 hours. This particular event is from 6PM - 9:30 PM.
What is the cost of the Practice Party?
Only $30! This includes food and supplies!
What should I bring?
Please bring brushes, any items that you would like to use (Feather lashes, lace, Blush bronzer, foundation, etc.) *Things such as feathers, lashes, etc will be provided at event as well, but you may also bring your own.

High Fashion
Enter into one of the most exciting and creative areas of Makeup Artistry. Working in a high fashion environment is one aspect of makeup that many artists dream of doing. Receive instruction on:
Differences in applying makeup for bright lighting (such as runway) vs applying makeup for print photography
On-set etiquette (Photo-shoot etiquette)
Organizing your kit for backstage runway
Backstage Runway timing techniques
Building a portfolio that will be appealing to fashion photographers
Networking

Practice Party #1 Smokey Eyes
Practice Parties are fun, informal events designed for makeup artists to come together and practice new techniques on one another. Try new things, ask questions, get pointers from industry professionals, and meet up with other artists.
Makeup, Music, Networking, Food, and an all-around good time!
(Makeup artists that have not attended any Prostyle Makeup classes are welcome, but students are given preference for registration.)

When Life's A "DRAG"
Open your mind to the daring, dramatic, and theatrical world of Drag Makeup, and expand your artistry in ways you've never thought before! Learn techniques that may be translated into other areas of makeup artistry such as creative and high-fashion.

Practice Party #2 "Opposites"
Do you find it difficult to work on clients of a different skin tone, age, or ethnicity than yourself? If yes, this practice party may be the one for you! Students will be paired with one-another to explore the different challenges we face as artists based on skin tone, skin age, and skin issues. This practice party will ensure that you are ready for the many challenges that makeup artists experience when being confronted with the unfamiliar.
Remember, practice parties are informal and fun. You will ask questions, practice and have a great time!
